Pauls Jonass consistent in MXGP of Trentino
Pauls Jonass of Standing Construct Honda MXGP has ridden a consistent fourth round of the MXGP World Championship in Arco di Trento. Jonass managed to finish ninth in the day’s classification with an eighth and tenth place in the motos and remains in fifth place in the standings.
Last weekend it was time for the technical circuit of Arco di Trento. A completely different track than the sand of Riola Sardo from a week earlier. On Saturday, it all went well for Jonass and with a fifth place in time practice and a sixth time in the qualifying heat, he ended the day satisfactorily.
On Sunday, he had a harder time in the motos. He couldn’t find the right rhythm. In the first moto he got a very good start and was able to start the race just outside the top five. He managed to hold his own in the early stages. After that, he slowly dropped back a bit, but by continuing to push until the final stages, he managed to regain a place and finished eighth.
A lesser start in the second moto meant that Jonass had more work to do. This was quite a task on the Arco di Trento circuit. He tried everything to overtake but in the end had to settle for tenth place.
With an 8-10 in the motos, he finished in ninth place in the day’s classification and remains in fifth place in the standings. In three weeks, the championship continues in Agueda, Portugal.
